Year 6 have been learning about the circulatory system and the importance of a healthy heart. At the end of term, the children had the fantastic opportunity to participate in CPR training. Some of the staff also took part in their own training session again this year.
"First, we discussed what to do in an emergency and how to get help. We then learnt that if someone is unconscious but breathing, they can be put in the recovery position. If someone is not breathing, we would need to carry out CPR and perhaps even find a defibrillator."
Thank you so much to Miss Coutts and her colleagues at Medway Hospital! We really appreciate your generosity for the time spent with us.
